Here’s how we’ll get it done
It’s all hands-on. We work through your own project together, and your track gets a little closer to finished every session.
Work out what’s going on
We listen through your track together, figure out what’s actually holding it back, and make a clear plan to get it finished.
Get into the work
We roll up our sleeves and start working through whatever your track actually needs, wherever it’s at right now.
Finish it off
We push through the rest of the work together, until the track itself is done.
Tie up the loose ends
The final polish and those last little details, until your track is ready to put out.

Hey, I’m Matt. I’m an Ableton Certified Trainer (one of fewer than 400 of us worldwide) and I run Aspect Music Academy.

Before, I tried to learn by watching YouTube videos, but as they are not properly structured, I always ended up with more questions. I had been using Logic Pro X for over 20 years. First simply to record myself, but then eventually for producing and engineering. I wanted to make the switch to Ableton Live because I knew a lot of producers that love creating with it, but was nervous about learning a new workflow. After scouring the internet, the most comprehensive and best explained material I could find was Matt’s. I love his teaching style, and his vast knowledge of the ins and outs of Ableton for music production, as well as his extensive knowledge of sound design. I watched all of his videos and eventually wanted a private lesson. I had a list of questions to ask him for our session and he had answers for every single one, even the complex “under the hood” ones. He is, in my opinion, the best Ableton teacher I have found out there. His sound design teaching skills can be used across any DAW. As a non-novice, I highly recommend Matt’s channel and any of the tiers he offers on his site.
Matt is a great teacher, and is able to break down and simplify all the technical aspects of Ableton live which was great for myself as a beginner.
